After receiving his bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida Mark began his hospitality management career with Host International Hotel in Tampa. He began as the banquet department manager and was promoted to catering director and then food and beverage director. Mark was selected to open the Sky Harbor Int'l Airport third terminal in Phoenix as the food and beverage manager and was later promoted to food and beverage director of their largest hotel in Houston.
Mark joined Bennigan's (S&A Restaurant Corp) where he was promoted to General Manager directly out of training to open the new Fort Meyers, FL location. He was then sent to turnaround a poor performing operation in New Orleans and was subsequently promoted to Area Manager. Mark achieved "Top 10" in profitability for the national chain as a General Manager and Area Manager in every location he served.
Mark was recruited by Gate Petroleum located in Jacksonville, FL for the position of General Manager, overseeing the prestigious Epping Forest Yacht Club. Shortly after this appointment Mark was also asked to oversee The Deerwood Club, a high-end private County Club also located in Jacksonville, FL.
In addition to his hospitality background Mark served as Vice President of Retirement Housing for The Vestcor Companies in Jacksonville, FL where he developed Coquina Crossing in St. Augustine. He has also been a principal in developing five office condo parks in the Jacksonville area. Mark has his real estate license and is a certified building contractor in the State of Florida.
For the past 3 years Mark has served as CSI's Director of Club Operations where he executes the specific operating initiatives contained in CSI's Strategic Club Assessments. Mark focuses on overall Budgeting, Business Planning, Staffing Models, and Food & Beverage Operations.
